My name is Lee Collins, I’m a father of 2 energetic boys and husband to my amazing wife Andrea. I’m a type 1 diabetic, a personal trainer and a lover of sport and adventure.
I started training at crossfit about a year and a half ago, after I found myself losing motivation and energy to keep training by myself. As a recently retired footballer who was used to training in a group environment I thought that I’d give crossfit a shot which has given me a renewed focus and drive to train hard and better my health and fitness level. I love training with the other great members and friends here at CFG, and with the guidance of the great coaches we have achieved some great results and have fun doing it!!
My favourite Wods are most EMOMS along with anything that includes a barbell movement of some sort. However the feeling of completing “murph” is pretty amazing!!
Being a role model to my family inspires me and motivates me to show them an example of what i can be achieve with hard work and committment but also seeing my fellow 9:15am or 12:00pm warriors destroying the WODS put in front of them, that’s what motivates me push harder and run faster.
Some advice I’d give to any new members would be to be consistent, be patient, listen to the coaches and work away at being the best version of you you can be.
