Who are you?
I’m Carla 🙂 I’m a converted hockey player. I’ve been doing CrossFit for approximately 4 years now.
There are a few reasons! I love that I can go, be challenged, see friends, and do a different workout every day. I find it works well around shift work too, it gives me an aim to be productive before or after. There’s always something new I can learn, or do better.
What is your favourite WOD?
WODs are always different and I haven’t really repeated enough workouts (yet). I like kettlebell swings and sit-ups, and not running. Annie is probably my favourite benchmark.
Who or What inspires you?
The people around me inspire me. The everyday achievements, the fact that we show up and do our best. I’ve been following Adee Cazayoux (founder of Working Against Gravity) and her hubby Michael (Brute Strength) lately and they are incredibly motivational.
Advice for newcomers?
Bring a friend! When I started, I went to a newbie’s session with a friend and we were both hooked. See you soon!
