Who are you? 

I’m a dad with three young adult kids who got busy with work and family and let his fitness decline over the last 20 years or so.

Why CrossFit?

I had some younger guys & girls at work who were big advocates for CrossFit, so I decided to check it out. I was apprehensive and embarrassed as I thought it would be full of super fit dudes, so delayed & procrastinated some more.  I’m the bloke who is comfortable up the back. At my first session, when Selina advised I was the only attendee and would have a 1 on 1 session with LT, I considered walking out. I’m glad I didn’t. LT, like all the coaches, was and continues to be fantastic & supportive.

What is your favourite WOD?

I enjoy the variation in WODs. I enjoy partner WODs, rowing & farmers carry. However, rest intervals are my favorite. I was surprised to find that I get as much out of a session for my head as I do physically.  For me, a session really de stresses after a day’s work.

Who or What inspires you?

There are multiple inspirational participants at CrossFit. Clearly the super fit are impressive. However, everyone who turns up and has a fair dinkum go equally inspires and motivates me.
